Located in the Rutherford AVA in Napa Valley, Inglenook is a wine estate created in 1879 by Gustave Niebaum, a Finnish captain. The wines of the property are quickly recognized for their quality and their richness.
From 1975, Francis and Eleanor Coppola gradually acquired the entire estate with the ambition of making Inglenook an emblematic benchmark for Californian wines. The couple instigated major infrastructure renovation work and hired the renowned winemaker André Tchelistcheff as a consultant as well as Philippe Bascaules of Château Margaux to oversee the vinification.
The 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon from Inglenook is made from a blend of 95% Cabernet Sauvignon, 3.5% Cabernet Franc, 1% Merlot and 0.5% Petit Verdot.
The color is a beautiful opaque ruby red.
The nose reveals fragrances of ripe blackcurrant, blackberry, espresso and cedar.
The palate harmoniously combines power, concentration and balance. Seduces with its silky tannins, its freshness, its vibrant structure as well as its persistent and unctuous finish.
