Located at the southern entrance to the village of Saint-Émilion, Château La Gaffelière, Premier Grand Cru Classé of Saint-Émilion, bears witness to very ancient origins. Mosaics discovered during excavations have attested to the presence of vines on the estate since Gallo-Roman times. Owned by the Malet Roquefort family for more than three centuries and located in the “ golden triangle ” between the hills of the Pavie and Ausone castles, Château La Gaffelière embodies the excellence of the great wines of Saint-Émilion .
Blend: 70% Merlot, 30% Cabernet Franc and
The color is dark, ink-colored with subtle blue reflections.
On the nose tension and of great purity on attack, the nose exalts with beautiful freshness the aromatic richness of barely picked black fruits.
Lively and with a lot of relief, the palate reveals a delicate tannic structure and great refinement.
