A very pretty reference nestled in the heart of the Pomerol appellation, Château Le Bon Pasteur was founded in the 1920s by the grandparents of the famous oenologist-consultant Michel Rolland. The latter took over in 1979, implementing numerous technical innovations which quickly contributed to its international reputation.
Accompanied by his wife Dany, they have never ceased to magnify the grandeur of the terroir of their estate, offering complex wines rich in elegance. Today, the team is led by Benoît Prévot and Michel Rolland remains the consultant.
Grape Blend: 80% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Franc.
The color is a deep purple color, tinged with violet reflections.
The nose is seductive and expressive, offering notes of jammy black fruits, raspberry and violet, as well as licorice and fine woodiness.
The attack is silky, revealing a wine of great purity and playing on a register of red fruits and sweet spices. Voluminous and carried by fine and structured tannins, it shows freshness until the finish, which is long, noble and delicious.
