America’s most iconic wine! The incredibly rare Screaming Eagle It the New World’s top Cabernet Sauvignon and rightly stands alongside the Bordeaux heavyweights.

Screaming Eagle is one of Napa Valley's smallest wineries. The little stone winery is perched on a rocky hillside in the Oakville Appellation overlooking the vineyard planted in Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc.

The wine is aged in 65% new French oak barrels for almost two years. Annual production is approximately 500 cases with most wine sold directly to consumers via a mailing list. The winery's first release was approximately 200 cases of the 1992 vintage.

The 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon, with 18% Merlot and 7% Cabernet Franc in the blend, is deep garnet-purple in color. A tad shy to start, it soon unfurls to offer notes of freshly crushed black and red currants, wild blueberries, and iris followed by nuances of anise, forest floor, mint tea, and pencil shavings. The medium to full-bodied palate delivers a very firm frame of exquisitely ripe, fine-grained tannins and wonderful tension supporting the tightly knit black fruit and floral layers, finishing long and minerally.
