Bologna is the only distillery in Guadeloupe that continues to cultivate the black cane. This variety, nowadays forgotten by distillers because of its low yield, is only cultivated by Bologna for its exceptional aromatic potential: it expresses a "concentrate" of cane, an ultra aromatic essence, which enters today in the blends of all Bologna rums. 

Suave, with great aromatic complexity, very harmonious. Particularly rich. The first nose is exotic (cane, mango, maracuja). It is then supported by citrus acidity (lime, orange) then evolves towards white flowers. 

The fresh cane is extraordinarily transcribed, becomes its very essence. The mid-palate is concentrated, lush, exuberant, and full of gourmet fruits: banana, pineapple, mango, pear, citrus fruits remain very present. The finish is long and tender spicy (ginger) and does not stop surprising by its authenticity and depth. Exceptional persistence. The retro-olfaction is floral, impressive finesse and length.
