The Clos de Mont-Rachet is located in the town of Savigny sur Grosne at the place called Mont Rachet. It is one of the oldest vineyards that was exploited by the monks of L'Abbaye de Cluny. Its name " Mont-Rachet " says "Mont-Chauve" testifies to the original aridity of the soil. The vineyard is 6 ha and is exposed to the South-East. 

The particularities of the Mâconnais vineyard are the diversity of its soils and its exhibitions. The soils of Mâconnais are clay-limestone predominantly limestone. The vines are mainly planted on calcareous brown soils that favor the Chardonnay grape variety.

Beautiful white gold, or straw yellow with a few years, this wine usually opens with fruity notes like citrus (in its youth) and flowers (acacia, honeysuckle, rose). Soft, dry and flowery wine, it is all-round and reveals a beautiful vivacity. I
