Silver Oak's Twomey Sauvignon Blanc is sourced from two family-owned estate vineyards. Limited new release. The Sauvignon Blanc grows on two estate properties: the vineyard surrounding the Calistoga winery and the Westside Road Vineyard below the winery in Russian River Valley. The soil and climate differences at these two sites give a range of expressions of Sauvignon Blanc that are blend to create a unique style. The Napa Valley fruit offers a deft balance of citrus and mineral elements which is complemented beautifully by the guava and tropical notes from the Sonoma County fruit. With careful viticulture and judicious winemaking, we capture the essence of the soil and sunny climate in which these grapes are grown, and the minerality and freshness so becoming to this varietal.                

The Twomey Sauvignon Blanc beautifully combines citrus, pear and green apple characters in a complex and balanced expression of this exciting varietal.

It has a light straw color and a nose of grapefruit rind, juniper berry, star fruit, green apple, pear and elderberry flower. It has a juicy, fruit-sweet attack with notes of honey and citrus on the palate. The wine has a long, lingering, fresh fruit finish.
