Created in 1850 in Saint-Satur, Domaine Laporte currently covers 21 hectares (52 acres). It is located at the foothills of the village of Sancerre and across its geological fault. Backing the village of Saint-Satur, at the edge of the Loire river, the vineyards have always represented the gateway of the Sancerre appellation.

This Sancerre comes from 2.5ha of old vines from the Rochoy estate. The flinty terroir, the low yield and the vinification in oak barrels (50% of production) gives a great complex, rich and refined Loire wine .

Aged on fine lees for 11 months, it is also aged in bottles for a minimum of 9 months before being put on sale. Of great aromatic finesse, the "Grand Rochoy" surprises with its amplitude, its personality and its tasty balance. The notes of yellow fruit are added with a delicious hint of pepper.

A Silex terroir which brings out a superb minerality in this vintage. You can keep it in the cellar for a while to discover the purity of all its aromas!
